The onward journey of 105 Kms from Geneva Airport to Argentiere, via Chamonix Mont Blanc, is mostly along the A40/E25 'Autoroute Blanche' and takes a little over one-hour.

Winter or Summer driving (including from Great Britain & Ireland) is an option that many visitors to Argentiere consider – with Autoroute for most of the journey from Calais to Chamonix Mont Blanc (897Kms / 557 Miles) the journey is quite straightforward and takes approximately 8 hours to complete.

Directions – Calais to Reims / Troyes / Dijon / Geneva / Chamonix. On arrival in Chamonix follow signs for Argentiere (Martigny/Switzerland) – 7kms from Chamonix – on the N506. For a detailed route map go to www.viamichelin.com

Should you decide to drive please note that Winter Season snow can sometimes get very deep at this altiude! A suitably equipped vehicle with either snow tyres or chains (sometimes obligatory) will cope best in such alpine weather conditions.

The Argentiere village station lies on the Mont Blanc Express line (affectionately known as 'the little red train') which runs from St Gervais through Chamonix and Argentiere to Vallorcine and on to Martigny in Switzerland. Martigny to Argentiere is just over 17 km, Argentiere to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains (the nearest SNCF mainline station) is approximately 32km; the journey from Paris to St Gervais takes five hours.

Estimated journey time by Eurostar/SNCF (TGV & Ter) & the Mont Blanc Express from London St Pancras to Argentiere is between 9 and 10 Hours.

The village station, Argentière Haute Savoie, is only 200m from Les Grands Montets Telepherique and is conveniently located for all argentiererentals.com properties.
